When I tell you about WHY I photograph women and WHY boudoir is so damn important, Miss G’s story is exactly where I get that passion and certainty from. This incredible woman spent a day of pampering and photos with us and her reaction is exactly why I do what I do. When you come to me for images, the day is completely planned around you and your needs. Want to be seen as vulnerable and soft and feminine? I got you. Want to show off your fierce and your confidence? Say less. Want it all? No problem.

When you completely surrender your nerves and listen to the guidance and direction of your artist, magic happens. And I’m not just talking about your images – I’m also talking about your spirit. Read about what I mean below:

How did you feel before your session?
I was hesitant. Our bodies are something we either love or hate – it’s hardly anything in between. I recently lost a lot of weight and was excited to have my dedication show in the photos. But just as I was excited, it is also a strange feeling to want to take your clothes off without wanting to cover or hide the parts of our body we are not so proud of.

How did you feel AFTER your session? Did anything change about how you see yourself?
These girls were so down to earth and naturally just calming! I didn’t feel exposed. I didn’t feel like I was being looked at in a way that was uncomfortable.
I felt glamorous and sexy and beyond excited to see my photos.

If you were recommending this experience to your best friend, what would you say? How would you convince them to have their own experience?
Do it!
Express yourself to your self!
Love every inch of you – we earned this!
Take this day! You will not regret it!

What was your favorite part of the session?
Hearing my photographer make little remarks like “Oh my gosh, yesss!!!” and “Love that don’t move!” and the warm hug after!

Beyond what Miss G said in her survey, she sent me the most heartwarming message after she saw her images.

“You have done an amazing job in rebuilding what I unkindly devalued after having kids. I can not put into words how much I appreciate you capturing a side of me I thought lost after painful life events. I love them SO much! Looking at images of my self has always been a mental battle of picking apart every lump and scar, but today I feel empowered and proud! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for restoring something in me that many didn’t see worth loving or appreciating!”
